Polyethylene is a thermoplastic resin obtained by polymerization of ethylene. It is odorless, non-toxic, feels like wax, has excellent low temperature resistance (the minimum use temperature can reach 100~ -70 ° C), has good chemical stability, and is resistant to most Acid-base erosion (not resistant to acids with oxidizing properties). Insoluble in general solvents at room temperature, small water absorption, excellent electrical insulation.

Polyethylene is divided into high-density polyethylene (HDPE), low-density polyethylene (LDPE) and linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) according to the different polymerization methods, molecular weight and chain structure. Most of the raw materials used for plastic packaging bottles are high-density polyethylene and low-density polyethylene. Among them, low-density polyethylene is mainly used for the packaging of diluent drop bottles. It is soft and easy to squeeze, but it is not resistant to high temperatures and will melt above 80 degrees, while high-density polyethylene is resistant to low temperatures (-70-100 ℃) and has good flexibility. The commonly used processing technologies for polyethylene raw materials include injection molding, extrusion, and blow molding. According to the bottle type and purpose, the processing methods are also slightly different.
