Identification method of PET

1. Smell the smell first. The smell of PET is different from that of ordinary plastic. Burn it with a lighter, and then you will smell a very fragrant and comfortable smell (just burn a bottle to smell it). If PET contains other ingredients, the smell is very pungent. There is a kind of bottle that contains SEBS ingredients and cannot be used.
2. If the burnt part is too black or the oil droplets are very fast, most of the melting points are abnormal, which is often found in PET film sheets.
3. Draw the wire. When burning, pull the wire on the lighter to see if the wire is long or not, and then pull the pulled wire off. Look at the breakpoint in the middle and see if the wire is rolled into a small circle. The more rolled, the higher the melting point.
But generally if it is a bottle slice, there should be no big problem. The most critical point is to distinguish whether it contains PVC, which is the fatal injury of PET. First, take more samples, and then lay it tiled in a sunny place. PVC is light blue in the sun. If folded in half, there will be white creases. The above is the identification with the naked eye, and the accuracy is limited. It mainly depends on experience.
There is also a more practical and better way. Buy an oven and adjust the temperature to 250 degrees and bake there for half an hour. If the goods contain PVC, there will be a lot of yellow spots on the surface; if the melting point is not enough, it will quickly melt.
In fact, there are many varieties of PET to be made, such as PET crushed film from foreign factories, pulp block material, and roll film with a length of less than 30 cm. These all have different customer groups.
The identification of these goods strongly requires oven inspection. In particular, PET reels are a very scarce source of goods in the entire market. Generally, the price of films with a length of more than 80 to 120 cm and a thickness of 3-5 wires is very high (white and transparent).
